livestock feeder

Even during winter, farm animals are best fed outdoors. They will benefit from the winter sun as they can absorb vitamins from the sun’s rays. Feeding them outside also keeps the animals out in the fresh air as opposed to confining them in the barn. You’ll also reduce manure buildup inside the structure.

Feed farm animals from a livestock feeder instead of placing the hay on the ground or in the barn. Advantages are:

~Less waste vs. losses caused by trampling on the hay
~Less mess and quicker clean up time
~Less risk of parasite infections because the hay is not walked on
~Better access to hay for the livestock
