Keeping Your Cat Safe While Outdoors

Cats are very curious creatures. If you’re like me, you wouldn’t want your cat wandering outside for fear of getting run over by a car or being ganged up by other cats. Still, you can’t really deprive your cat of the outside world. There are ways to make sure that they experience the outdoors and keep them safe at the same time.

I have two cats, a female Persian Himalayan hybrid and a male Siamese. The former is quiet and likes to just sit by the window and watch. The latter loves to explore and climb on top of shelves and cabinets. He also runs for the door every time someone enters or exits, as if trying to escape the house to play in the garden. Sometimes I go with him to watch over him but if I can’t, I just let bring him to the cat window veranda so he could still be outside but out of danger’s reach.
