Cats love to perch in areas way up high, on a window sill looking outside while they are quiet, secluded and safe inside. Cats are vigilant and curious by nature. Sitting in high places allows them to view their environment. They like to hear, see, and smell what is going on from a safe distance.
Cats make good use of their upright space and value this as much more than floor space. They may even find their own high perching spots on top of a refrigerator or kitchen cupboards. Spots near a window are especially desirable. So try to provide places for birds to gather near your cat window perch. Cats love to watch the birds fly around. There are many types of cat furniture that accommodates the cat’s need to perch and climb. Cat trees, towers, or condos are greatly loved. Place them near a window if possible.

One of the few unpleasant experiences in bringing up a new puppy is when your pet pulls on the lead. Train your dog to have good lead walking manners. Use dog training collars to keep your dog’s attention. Get your dog used to wearing a collar by following these tips:
~Offer a tasty treat to your dog while simultaneously sliding the collar over its face.
~While your dog is munching away, finish fitting the collar’s clasp then give your dog another treat and praise him warmly.
~Distract your dog by playing with him or letting him use a favorite toy. After 3 minutes, remove the collar. Repeat this 3-4 times a day for the first week.
~Once your dog is able to wear the collar for 5 minutes without distraction, attach the lead and continue playing with him.
~Once your dog is acclimatized with the collar and lead, you can now start taking him for short walks.

One of the basic things a horse needs to survive is food. And if you have no grass patch where your horse can eat, having hay available is healthiest alternative for a horse’s mind and body as it helps mimic the natural grazing instincts of the animal. The question most owners ask next is how much does a horse eat.
According to experts, a full grown horse should be given around 12 to 15 pounds of hay a day. This is a rough estimate as some horses will require more or less depending on factors such as their metabolism, workload, time of the year, and what else they may be eating. Ponies eat much less while big draft horses may eat as much as 30 pounds a day or more. For a healthy digestive system, have hay available at all times.

Metal coins can be abrasive to other objects. If placed inside pants pocket or a lined purse, coins tend to rub against the soft cotton linings. In time, this may lead to tears and holes that will render the linings useless. Keep loose change inside a coin purse instead. This will keep your money separate from the rest of your purse or pants pocket’s contents.
One other advantage of coin purses is organization. Many purse and wallet manufacturers have products where users can store essential identification cards and paper money in one side and coins in another side. Many of these purses have small straps for easy carrying. Separate coin purses, on the other hand, can take the place of bulkier purses when going on short errands.

I was very devastated when my cat died last month. I hate the thought of burying her and leaving her in the pet cemetery outside of town. I decided to have her cremated instead so I can bring home her ashes with me.
I discovered that it was hard to choose from many available cat urns in the store! There are so many beautiful ones and I wanted to make sure I was getting the best for my beloved kitty. I settled on a wooden urn with nice carvings and which has a photo slot in front. I plan on changing the picture every now and then to showcase the different sides of my pet when she was still alive.

There are several conventional ways of training our dogs. However, if they have proven to be ineffective, you might want to try using electronic dog training collar. About three decades ago, this can only be used to large dogs because they were too powerful for the small ones. With the influx of technology and with the aid of more research, current models are proven to be safe and effective to all kinds of dogs.
There are two basic types of electronic dog training collars:
~Bark collar – controls dog’s barking by sending electric stimulation
~Beeper collar – controls more than the dog’s barking, like unpleasant behavior; comes with a radio transmitter that the owner controls

Improve your horse’s overall health by building muscle and increasing cardiovascular endurance. Horse exercises serve as an important tool not only for your horse’s health but also in gaining proper handling and control of your horse. Exercise also leads to improvement in a horse’s temperament and demeanor.
Follow horse exercise routines with discipline and commitment. Although you may want to push your horse harder when he is scheduled for a show or race, consider the injuries that overtraining can cause. Be particularly attentive to any injuries a horse may sustain during exercise. Decrease or completely stop the routines until the injury has healed.

Dressing up the pet in Christmas clothing is becoming more and more popular these days. Your pet will enjoy the holidays as much as you would if he is made part of the celebrations. Pet Christmas costumes will put him in the mood. In the same way the humans enjoy putting on Christmas finery, your pet will feel the celebration in the air when you dress him up in a Christmas costume. The bright and vivid colors will make him feel that something is different in the air and put him in the swing of things.
The lucky thing is that you have a wide selection to choose from. Small female pets can come as a sweet starry angel. They can wear a jacket with plush fur trim with a pair of silver wings. Bigger dogs can come as an elf dog. He can wear a tunic decorated with pompoms. With matching hat and cuffs, he will look like an authentic elf ready to help Santa.
