Reasons for Cremation

When people die, there are usually two things their family members could do. One way is the traditional way with caskets and cemetery lots. The other is cremation, where the body is burned to ashes. After cremation, the ashes are then placed in ceramic or wood urns and then either buried or turned over to the family for scattering or keeping.
Reasons for choosing cremation depend on personal preference. Some people find the idea of their bodies slowly decomposing extremely unappealing. Others consider the expenses involved; cremation is definitely cheaper than traditional burial services. A few people consider the whole burial process to be complicated, and choose cremation to hasten and simplify the process.
