When it comes to horse equipment, one of the big ticket items will have to be the saddle. The saddle you choose will depend on the kind of riding you do. There are general purpose horse saddles, English saddles, western saddles, hunt-seat saddles, dressage and show saddles.

English saddles do not include the girths, stirrup leathers or stirrup irons. You have to buy them separately. Western saddles always include stirrups and cinches although sometimes, you may have to buy a better cinch for better performance. When buying a saddle, only purchase one with a return policy whether new or used to ensure that you’ll get the most comfortable fit.
