Having a pet turtle is exciting but you have to know the basics in good turtle care to keep your pet healthy. A turtle tank or aquarium is not the same as a fish bowl so you need to get an appropriately sized tank. When arranging elements inside the turtle tank, you have to remember that most turtles require both dry land and an area with water.

Here are some guidelines to turtle tank care:~The depth of the water must be more than the turtle’s length ~Create a basking area made of large rocks ~Put small and stout plants as turtles may chew up more delicate ones ~Clean the tank more often if you decide to put plants, sand or gravel there
