Horse health

A good horse owner should have some basic knowledge on how to evaluate his animal’s general condition. When an owner is alert and capable of performing some basic health checks, it will mean less trips to the vet. It can also help the veterinarian keep your horse in the best possible health.

Horse health is very important so you have to know how to spot problems early on before they can become more serious and expensive to treat. The most basic things you should be able to assess are temperature, pulse, and respiration. If you can relay these to your vet, your horse is most likely to receive more accurate and helpful treatments.
