There are five basic obedience training commands. These are, ’sit’, ‘down’, ’stay’, ‘come’ and ‘heel’. Teaching your dog at least these basic training commands will stimulate him to be alert. They like to be talked to, and this is a way of communicating to them. Once he masters these basic canine obedience exercises, he will be ready to learn a few fun tricks.

With dog training, the owner is established as the pack leader. The dog is trained to listen to him and follow his instructions. This will help him manage behavioral problems because there is a way to keep him under control. It should not take too much effort. Obedience exercises can be integrated into his daily activities such as when he is taken out for a walk or when he is just playing in the yard.
