Traveling with your pet should be a fun thing to do. Here are a few tips to remember when planning to bring your dog on a trip:
* Take your pet on frequent, short trips to get them use to riding in your vehicle. * Avoid feeding your pet several hours before traveling. * Cover the upholstery and carpet of your car with newspapers or a car pet cover. * Use window shades if the sun is too bright for your dog’s comfort. * Be sure to regulate the temperature in your car. * Always take a water bowl and plenty of clean water for your dog. * Try and stop every few hours when traveling long distances to allow your dog time to stretch, burn off energy and to use the bathroom. You can also invest on a pet booster seat. Pet booster seats are great in keeping your pets safe while riding in a car. It allows them to look around, while providing a luxurious and safe ride. They are easy to install and remove. The liner can be removed for washing. Different sizes are available to suit the size of your pet.
