Also, the dog’s head must not hit the top of the crate when it sits. Getting the dog to use the crate may take a while, and some people use baits such as a dog or a favorite chew toy to bring them inside the crate until the dog retrieves those items by themselves. Let the dog get accustomed to using it always and never use it for punishment.
