I grew up in a family that loves animals. We always have no less than five pets at a time at home. I remember my sister and I having a puppy each while our brothers have a turtle, guinea pig and an aquarium filled with fish. We were fortunate that our parents were very indulgent and would even give us money to buy pet food and accessories.
One Christmas, we asked us what gifts we’d like to have for our pets. My sister and I requested pearl dog necklaces because one of my friends had a dog that has one. It was funny that one of our brothers wanted an Aquaman figurine to be put into the aquarium. We still tease him about that whenever we get together now that we’re all grown up.
