Dressing up your pet pooch can be fun. Sometimes people can go overboard. They dress their dogs like Barbie dolls. I don’t think these people realize that dogs are not meant to wear clothes. The most I would dress up my dog is for him to wear a dog bandana.
A dog bandana can make a dog look good. Any more than that and your dog can overheat. Dogs don’t have sweat glands. They also have a thick coat that protects them from the cold and tortures them when it’s hot. They also have a higher heart rate than humans. The only way a dog can sweat is through panting. Panting is an inefficient way to cool down a body. That is why it’s cruel to dress them up in full clothing. They might suffer from heat stroke.
