cat climbing trees

I was reading a book which had a compilation of Disney stories to my son the other night. I was familiar with most of the stories since I grew up reading them. There was one story however which I had not read before it was the story entitled “The Aristocats”. The story revolved around a bunch of cats who lived the good life, were kidnapped and then returned home. It reminded me of my neighbor who spoiled her cats as if they were her children. All over her house she had cat toys and cat climbing trees.

In the story of the Aristocats; the kidnapped cats learned how it was to be like the rest of the cats and animals in the streets. They shed their spoiled attitude and became street smart. I wonder if they same thing could happen to my neighbor’s cats. What would happen if their cat climbing trees were gone and they had to jump and climb on top trash bins like other cats? They would probably survive the ordeal and even learn to like being street cat.
